 | Split screen with irregular
by Robert Such on Sep 24, 2012 at 4:10:36 pm |
Hi,
Could someone point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to make a split screen using irregular shapes, triangles in particular, please? I want to use three time lapse sequences in separate triangular split screen areas.
In conjunct]ion with the titles tool (using triangle shapes), I can't figure out if I should use the Luma Key or the Track Matte Key.
Thanks.

With Track Matte its easy to make.
Make 2 of the 3 shapes seperately in the titler.
Track 1 clip
Track 2 clip with track matte effect set to track 3
Track 3 mask
Track 4 clip with track matte effect set to track 5
Track 5 mask

Thanks Ann,
Any chance you could write out what to do a bit more fully, please? Am not advanced enough to follow that...
Make 2 of the 3 shapes seperately in the titler. OK.
Then after that?
"Track 3 mask", does that mean the third shape in the titler?

Gonna give up on Track Matte. In titler, trying to position a wedge shape is a pain in the a***. The size and position are off. For example, to get a shape to appear in the centre of the video, you have to position the shape in titler off to the left!'

Check the resolution of the shape against the resolution of the sequence: they should be the same.
