[Alexander Vegas] "If I nest this comp into another it remains 2d not 3d, even though it's set as 3d layer and collapse transformation is on."
The Trapcode Particular plug-in renders on a 2D solid. It internally uses the 3D information (camera, lights, etc.) of whatever composition it resides in to generate the particle positions.
This means that collapse transformations will not work.
The only way to accomplish pre-composing a trapcode particular layer is to make sure that you have a camera in the pre-comp that matches the camera in the parent composition exactly. I have used expressions to link the camera in the child comp, but I usually find that it's best to leave the particular layers in the parent composition.
