AE5: Can't get rid of grid

A very BASIC question: How do you get rid of the blue grid after creating a Starfield on a solid? Yeah, I'm a newbie.

are you talking about the grid in the cc particle world effect?

if so, just choose 'off' for the grid property in the effect's controls.
