Just saying hi, I'm pretty much new to After Effects, just started an MA in motion graphics, hoping to find some major inspiration/advice or whatever on here, have found some brilliant stuff already....

The problem with AE is that you have to know pretty much how the application works BEFORE you use it. This ain't some, "Oh, I'll figure it out as I go along" deal. So you got to get trained up a little.

Here's the cheap way to get some basic info: go to Andrew Kramer's web site, Video Copilot. Do the Basic stuff. Here's a link:
