My text moves whenever it is rendered. Why?
by Todd Stansbury on Oct 7, 2008 at 2:27:52 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum as well as After Effects so maybe someone can help me out. I created a bullet image in photoshop and placed it in the timeline. I then created some text in after effects and placed it next to the bullet image. I added keyframes for the bullet item on the opacity channel so it will fade in and a "slow fade on" effect for the text. Everything works fine when I preview in in ram, but when I render it the text moves to the right and down from the bullet item.

I can't seem to figure out what is causing it.

Thanks,
Todd

Remove the drop shadow from your text, make a test animation, and see how it looks.

Dave,

Thanks for the reply. I realized that the bullet that I imported was a photoshop .psd file and it had embossing applied to it. I went back to photoshop and saved it as a .png and it works fine. Don't know if that had anything to do with it or not, but I got it working. Thanks again for the help.

Todd
