Hi
Does anyone know how to create a mask by choosing the center and not a corner? For example when you click on ellipse mask tool and then click and drag, the point where you clik is not the center but somehow a corner of the mask. I know there is a short cut for it but I can't find it.

I think Dave uses a mac, but on my pc I can get the effect you're looking for by holding ctrl as I drag out. Only press ctrl after you've started to click and drag with your mouse, otherwise your mask tool cursor will change back into the selection tool cursor and you won't be able to start drawing.
In case you don't know, holding shift allows you to constrain the proportions of the mask.

Adobe is very good about making keyboard shortcuts standard, even across platforms. The only difference is that on a Mac you would use Option instead of Alt and Command instead of Control.
So to do what you're asking on a Mac you would hold the command (apple) key.
