Motion stabilizing while people passing

Hey guys!
I tried to stabilize a very shaky shot by using AEs motion tracking. It is a dolly shot towards a boy who's sitting on an bench while several people are passing, some right in front of the camera. Therfore it is unimpossible to find points which don't get hidden once in a while. Even using different tracking points doesn't work out, maybe I'm not doin it right, but the image gets all weird and unlocated moving jerky out of frame and things like that. I searched for tutorials, couldn't find any with that issue. Can you please help me to solve this problem - as soon as possible :) - I'm starting to get desperate.

Sorry, but AE's Motion Stabilization isn't really intended for shots with primary camera movement like dolly shots.... nor zooms, for that matter. You might have to do the stabilization by hand.
Now you MIGHT be able to track the motion of carefully-selected sections of the shot, then apply the stabilization to a null object. Apply stabilization of different trackers to different nulls. Adjust the in & out points of the various nulls to match the various sections.
Then add an additional instance of the footage to the comp, turning off the the original layer. Split the footage into layers to match the nulls, and parent the various split layers to the various nulls.
It might work. I've never done it.

Thanks for the quick response.
Sounds like a lot of work. Well I'll try it.
In the background of the shot are stairs. I had the idea of just putting some guides to the shot and turn it frame by frame so the stairs fit horizontaly. Do you think that works faster? Or is there another way to use the stairs?

nulls might have to be hand tracked in some difficult parts or even use a new track location and offset new position. other options are virtualdub has a fantastic motion stabilizer, as does Mocha or Monet. but virtudaldub's is free and has the same options as monet like stabilize zooms, pans, etc.

Where does virtual dub have stabilization functions? is it an add on? i have looked over the documentation, i cannot find anywhere that says it has stabilization functions.
please post a web address, or point out how to use the virtual dub stabilization.
here's 23 excellent plugins for virtualdub that are free like deblocking, deflicker, old cinema etc.
