Fading video help
by dileshni jayasinghe on May 2, 2008 at 2:51:44 pm

Hi,

I've just started using adobe After Affects for a school project, and I'm trying to use a fade-in effect for my video. I've used final cut before, and you simply drop the fade in/fade out effect on to the video clip.....but how do I do this with After Effects?
I've tried to use block dissolve, but doesn't seem to do what I want.

I've searched the forum, but haven't had much luck. Hope someone can point me in the right direction!

Two things to ponder on: The Opacity property and Keyframes. AE Help is your friend.

Yes, learning AE is a long, twisted voyage of discovery and errors, but the ultimate destination is worth it.

The real Dave LaRonde would have told him to look in his help guide on AE.... ;-)
