effect of bullet going past a parson like he's a ghost
by david lieberman on Apr 29, 2008 at 5:10:01 pm

hello,

ive got footage of an actor shooting another actor. the one being shot is meant to be some sort of demon/ghost. Im looking for effects that will make the viewer believe that the bullet travels through the demon without hurting it?

I've got muzzle and light flashes, and i have a spark on the trashbin which the bullet hits behind the demon, the only thing missing is making it look like something just went passed the demon without hurting it..

any ideas?

thanx for the help.

One of the Distort tools, perhaps Mesh Warp to give a sense that pressure is being applied to the point of contact for the bullet will be good to have. Not too sure if you need debris-like particles for the entry and exit. Multiple instances if Particle Playground should do the trick for these.

Bullet effects should be done a little differently for members of the clergy. You should probably consult a vicar.
