Multiple Camera's

How do you switch from camera 1 to camera 2 and then back and forth again? Can the camera's video switch be turned on and off with keyframes or is there some other way?

I'm trying to achieve a rendered movie where I can see the switching between the cameras. I know this question sounds convoluted but I'm not sure how to ask what I'm trying to accomplish. Can the Hope you understand.

Approach 1 is to trim the layers

Approach 2 (better) is to render both passes out then edit them together in a video editing program

To expand on that. The top 'visible' Camera layer in a composition is the active camera. You can have a single main camera extend the entire duration of the composition and place trimmed "cut away" camera layers above them.

Thanks guys. I thought that might be the case. I was hoping for something easier like being able to keyframe which camera would be acttive at various times.

This project will have four or five cameras. I'll just have to work with that.
