3D Shape Extruder???
by Ian Cooley (icooley02) on Jan 23, 2008 at 6:23:26 am

I have downloaded the 3D Shape Extruder effect and am wonder why it will not work when I apply it to a shape layer. Under the "effects" twirl down it simply says, "missing PS: 3D Shape Extruder" and the reference point data is red. How do I successfully apply this preset to a Shape layer in my AE project. Maybe I am not importing this preset correctly into AE.

Thanks for any help,

Ian

I'm sorry I didn't respond any sooner. But I've got good news. I'm developing new Installation software right this second. It will work on both Mac and PC, and it should take care of all installation problems that has occurred throughout last few months.

I hope you like my ShapeExtruder.
Good luck!

The Shape Extruder is great...but i am having the same problem (not being able to use it on shapes). Could you please let me know how you fixed the shape extrusion problem?

On another note, i was working on a project for a hockey team and I need to create a 3d hockey arena (need to create boards, glass, ice, etc). Im having problems with creating the ends. I need to find a way to bend a rectangle in the "y" demension. If there is an obvious technique that I am missing, please bear with me as im just learning to use AE.

Thanks a million!
by the way, keep the tutorials coming...they are great!
