Making muzzle flashes in After Effects

hello I was wondering can After Effects do muzzle flashes for guns? I need to show guns firing for a short WWII film that I am shooting.

I guess this should be possible but I prefer to use products from fxhome i.e fxhome EffectsLab http://fxhome.com/effectslab/effectslab-overview.html

Please note, it's not a plug-in...it's a programme also...in my opinion, it's cool. You can download a demo.

But I guess you should try find out if AE can do muzzle flashes...when I also had this problem, I tried everything possible in AE until when a friend of mine who is also a composite artiste recommended fxhome Effectlab to me....

this site probably has some muzzle flashes for cheap, even free... they have lots of other exploding things.
