3d Max to Afer Effects
by lenny_poole on Jan 21, 2007 at 9:13:45 pm

I was wondering if anyone knew how to bring a 3d object from 3d max to after effects.

for example: you have a character and you want to import there limbs to after effects so yo can animate the character in after effects and not in 3d max.

after effects doesn't work with 3D objects ... cause it's not a 3D program ... you could possibly use a plug-in like zaxwerks to import and animate it .. but I'd imagine that you'd get a better result animating it in the true 3D program, 3D Max. Maybe animate what you need to in Studio Max then render out with an alpha channel and import into AE.
