OT: Audio for Walter's tutorial?
by Ron Craig on Jul 6, 2009 at 6:43:57 pm

I've been trying to play one of Walter's tutorials (specifically "Walter Biscardis Secrets for Real-time Sequences") but I can't get the audio to play.

I know this is OT and that my problem is probably just a settings issue on my computer -- i.e. thoroughly MY problem. But, believe me, I have tried everything I can think of, including ensuring that my browser and all the plugins are thoroughly up-to-date. I even emailed the COW adminstrative folks with this question but unfortunately I got no response from them.

All the other audio I play on this computer plays fine: QTs, .WMVs, YouTube, etc., But still I am denied the benefit of Walter's wisdom. Woe is me!

Can someone tell me what the file type is that the COW uses for such tutorials? Any words of wisdom much appreciated.

I just opened it up from the Cow Tutorial site and the audio plays fine here. It's just a Quicktime movie.

Yeah, that's what I thought. That's what makes it so frustrating. And, as I say, I'm sure it's a localized problem here. I've set my QT plugin to play EVERY file type but still my Firefox installation just doesn't appreciate your dulcet tones, Walter!

Oh, well. It's one of those weird ones.
