FCP Keyboard Commands
by David Teixeira on Jun 29, 2009 at 5:58:14 pm

Greetings all-
This is a really basic and probably silly question.
How do I get the keyboard commands in FCP to work?
All the regular keys work, command z etc. But when I try to use "F" buttons I only get their base function. Like F10 mutes my volume, but I want it to do an overwrite edit.

I am sure this is something really simple I am over looking.

Any feedback would be great.

thanks

dave

Go to System Preferences/Keyboard and switch on F keys for applications.

All the best,

Tom

I don't know if you're on a laptop or desktop, but you can also hit the "function" key on the bottom left of the keyboard when you hit a key like F10 and you will get its FCP use.
