Codec for Long Videos
by Adam Young on Sep 4, 2008 at 8:53:53 pm

I recently filmed my first wedding. I am now ready to export but am unsure what exporter to use. The Video is about 53 minutes long and needs to be under 4 GB to be able to burn from idvd. If anybody has any suggestions or links to previous threads, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Adam

The size of your Quicktime movie is irrelevant. The file must be compressed to an MPEG-2 before encoding to a DVD. iDVD will do this.

Just export the file from your timeline using "Current Settings." Then take that into iDVD and tell it what quality you want, it will take care of the rest.
