Auto Rendering
by Steve Johnson (sjohnson) on Jul 3, 2008 at 5:58:27 pm

Hello,

I've just discovered the Play Base Layer option, but have come to realize it doesn't seem to work on my system. I still get "unrendered" when I try to play back my clips. But my real question centers around this. If I need to render to view something, there doesn't seem to be a way to render just from in to out on the timeline. It's always based on the clip. Is it possible to render just from in to out? This would be highly advantageous as I'm hardly ever editing right on an inpoint for a clip.

Thanks!

After you set your in and out, hit Option - A. This will select in to out.

Then render.

Alternatively:

Hit the G key three times.

This will activate the range selection tool.

Drag your cursor over the area that you wish to render.

Render.

When you are done with range select, hit A once to get back to the standard selection tool.

Best,

Tom Meegan
