Maintain Interlace

Export 1080/ 50i video project and maintain interlace.
Compression H264 as a MP4 file.
I have tried in Compressor 4, but it always outputs as Progressive.

Is this for Broadcast?
I can't see any other reason to maintain interlace.
Enable Frame Controls and then set it to Off manually.
Like so many posts you do state conclusively that you're getting progressive but don't explain how. It's quite possible that your analysis is incorrect. I'm just saying this as a reminder for people who claim "results x" but unless I know your vision and/or glasses I have no idea if you're seeing things correctly. It's like claiming a color shift but never mentioning that you're using a calibrated monitor (or not). Maybe your correct but it becomes an assumption without providing how you've determined the results.

Let's try something else then.
Enable Frame Controls and set Output Fileds to Same as source or maybe even Top or Bottom directly (depending on your source of course).
BTW if it's for Broadcast are they actually asking for Main Profile? Some may ask for High which Compressor can't do.

Send to Compressor? I'd avoid that. I'd export a Master file and use that. It's personal but I don't trust the reliability of Send to Compressor.
I'm wondering if Compressor doesn't allow for interlaced H.264. Personally I don't find Compressor very flexible for broadcast delivery. I use Telestream Episode for broadcast delivery .
