I'm performing some encoding test on our Blu-Ray Encoder

Are there any advantage or disadvantages encoding AVC at 4x4 or 8x8 DCT?

Thank You

Marcus

4x4 will result in smaller macroblocks, but these should only present themselves if you are using very aggressive bitrates.

If you are authoring for BluRay you normally have the luxury of using high enough bitrates to avoid macroblocking in all but the most challenging pieces.
