compression for flash conversion

Morning all,
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for what compression format has the best results when converting to flash video.
My usual workflow is to export as DVPal (same as source) then convert to HQ flash, but I think the video, particularly at full screen could be crisper. I've experimented with a few other export formats but the results have either been the same or worse. Exporting direct to flash was particularly bad. If anyone's had any spectacular results doing something similar, please share!!
Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand your question.
Flash video can either be encoded with Sorenson Spark (lowest quality) ON2VP6 (higher quality) or H.264 (highest quality)
So ideally you want to do directly from DV to Flash H.264 using an encoder that offers great deinterlacing and scaling.

This post got moved here from the FCP forum, (didn't spot there was a separate compression board), so workflow probably didn't make much sense at all.
It goes: DV PAL source material>FCP>Export using compressor with DVPAL settings so the end result is a mov. Then I convert the mov into flv, and publish to the web. My issue is, that although the quality ain't bad at all, I want to know if anyone can give me a recommendation about another format or codec I could export to that converts into flash really well.
Effusive thanks will of course be given to anyone with a constructive response.

What settings are you using for the FLV transcode.
Frame size
Data rate
Key frames
etc

We're getting there!
You left out what frame size you're using!?
700kb/s will look great at 320x240 but like digital soup at 768x576!

I suggest you lower your frame size use this page as a guide to using div 16 frame sizes.
Of course you could up your bit rate but I think you'll be better off with a smaller frame.

Well it really depends what you call full screen but Flash video NEVER looks good when scaled up. If you want high quality video that fills the screen then don't wrap it in Flash.
