AE compression question

Hello i have a 1280x720 16x9 comp and i want to pick the best compression and file format for it to play back on dvd, tv and film
any reccomendations? i use quicktime pro on a mac and i made the file
in after effects

Can you be more specific on your delivery options?

A DVD has to be mpeg2, but if you just want to play it on a TV through a PS3 or media center you can use a better codec like H.264

There isn't a codec and container that would work for everything.
