sorenson and my video ipod

Hey guys... I compressed an avi with sorenson for my ipod. For some reason i cant sync my ipod with the new movie. Itve tried changing from mp4 to m4v or vice versa i cant remember..

its a 30 GB ipod video from 3 years ago. any help would be appreciated.
