HDV1080i 50 to 1080i 60
by Jeeper on Jan 24, 2007 at 1:32:49 am

I have a project with 2 tapes shot HDV 1080i 50 by mistake and 4 tapes shot HDV 1080i 60 which is the intended format. Can I use compressor to recompress the 1080i 50 to 1080i 60. Has anyone tried this and how clean is the compression. This is not a high profile project just a simple 3:00 promotional DVD and a few :30 web spots. Considering the usage I would prefer not to use an expensive external box conversion.

Any and all opinions are appreciated.

Compressor will do the job but not as well as an external standards converter or indeed this FCP plugin from the genius Mr Graeme Nattress:

At $100 it's a bargain!

It's a London thing.
