Importing problems in After Effects 7/CS3 (Canon A710)

So, don't know were to put this post but the main problem is however that I can't seem to import my footage from my small camera anymore! After an uppgrade from AE7 to AECS3 the footage are all messed up in thin vertical lines in all colours. And when uninstalling CS3 to reinstall AE7 again, as an effort to reset the problem, there's no change!
Now I know importing (or even working with) these sort of formats in AE are not exactly recomended, however my point is it worked just fine before the upgrade! And importing MPEG1/MPEG2 doesn´t work either as it did well before! One funny thing is that footage from my old camera with same type of compression (I beleive HDYC) show up just fine (!!?). So what's this all about?
Also I suspect issues with the K-Lite Codec pack but not sure as I keep getting a message at start up saying "Quitime will be disabled [..] campatible vs was not found". K-Lite was somewhat reasently installed before the uppgrade but I can't seem to find any specific when searching the forum though.
Otherwiswe, "normal" uncompressed files seem to work as usual (avi). So, anyone have any ideas?

Ok, I tried disabled the ffdshow in the "configure" tab and there were no change! I also uninstalled the K-Lite codecpack and reinstalled (the older, previously always working!) ACE Mega Codec Pack, restarting windows and tried importing after each change, and that didn't work either! (Curently using AE7). I also tried importing in Premiere 2.0 with same results!
The only good thing is that the start up message dissapeared so QT now obviously seem to work!

Oh sorry, not my intention making people frustrated =) !
However, I've seem to have solved the problem! K-Lite (2009) doesn't support MJPEG (couldn't find it in the list anyway) which is the (footage) format of my Camera (Canon PowerShot A710 IS). So I complemeted K-Lite with Pegasus MJPEG PicVideo v3.0 Codec and that solved it! And for all you other people who might come across this issue, this is what it looks like!
..unfortunatly CodecSniper didn't work all that good though! =)
QuickTime Alternative also seem to have solved the start-up message I mentioned before. However, I haven't tried importing any mov-files yet so I can't say for sure.
