possible to loop a precomp?
by Eugene Hooper on Sep 27, 2009 at 12:53:50 pm

Hey guys, I'm wandering whether it's possible to loop the animation in a precomp or an imported video. I know that either one will only last for as long as the layer is visible, but I would like to know an alternative method to duplicating many copies of the same footage/precomp.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The way Craig pointed to loops unrendered comps ... you also mentioned imported footage ... you can loop imported footage that way or in the interpret footage window ... down at the bottom, there's a box to type in the number of times you want footage to loop ... that way, it's looped to that extent anywhere you use it in the project without needing to re-apply that expression each time.
