If your ram previews at 29.97 look smooth, but your attempt at converting to a PAL frame rate look jerky, it was probably wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's in one of his freebie projects on videocopilot. Just know that it's a last-resort replacement for real frame rate conversion software, and the results are hit-or-miss at best.

Not well. There are no Magic Bullets for frame rate conversion. Look at plugins from Magic Bullet, ReelVision or Twixtor.
