Motion tracking
by Ben Carpenter on Sep 15, 2009 at 12:16:08 pm

Hi guys long Im a long time reader first time caller.
Firstly I'd like to thank you all for the many problems I've been able to solve just by reading these forums.
After tracking a simple piece of footage I'm trying to apply the motion to a null object, but for some reason when I hit the edit target button It's not allowing me to select any layer other than the one I've just tracked. I've never usually had a problem with this. Any solutions? (I've no problem if it's just me being dense!)

You DID create a null object in the same comp, right?

Here's a thought... Is your track type set to Stabilize? If so, change it to Transform and you'll be able to pick your Null layer up.

Hope it's as simple as that,
Ben
