DPX In & DPX Out of AE Without Modifying Header Info etc?

Good evening all,
For reasons I wont go into I am needing to bring one HUGE long LOG DPX 2K sequence into AE and then split it into certain takes and render those out as DPX sequences. Is there a AE workflow that allows us to output these DPX with out changing header information or any LOG characteristics?

All thoughts most appreciated.

dpx and cineon's advanced settings should be looked over and tested thoroughly. This includes color management.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your response. Yes........these settings a good place to start however a particularly intimidating dialog box/settings that have the potential to do more harm than good.

Instead of rendering out the DPX sub-sequences is there a way I can determine in AE what frame range the DPX clip is and then simply extract those frames from the master sequence with a simple copy and paste in the OS explorer??

Hi, if you open a DPX file in a text editing program, there is likely some timecode and frame number info on the very first line or 2 that you might be able to use that is human readable.

Thanks guys........these DPX sequences headed straight for Color and then back to AE. Not sure Glue Tools as a one time only investment would fly.

The question still stands though.........if in AE we have a section of a larger DPX sequence residing in a composition is there away to determine its actual range of frames?
