I've seen some pretty lousy chroma key setups in the past, and this one ranks among the poorest. A real recipe for disaster. In no particular order, here are some of the main offenders:
There's no lighting! Okay, you can see the subject and background, but it's as flat as it gets.
Who thought wrinkled fabric was a good idea?
Who thought that seams were a good thing to have on a background?
Why isn't the backdrop's color consistent? What color is it supposed to be, and how was it made into that mish-mash of colors?
What happened to the subject's left foot? Does she not have one, or is that God-awful background hiding it?
Doesn't anybody know how to focus the camera?
About the only thing that could make this worse is if it is to be shot on a DV or HDV camera; I wouldn't be surprised to learn that's exactly what is to be used.
I suggest that whoever thinks this is a good chroma key setup should be the one who actually does the keying. Then just keep at that person -- is that chroma key done yet? An hour later -- is that chroma key done yet? Two hours later -- how about now... is that chroma key done yet? Keep it up for a few days. Once the person jumps out an eighth-story window in frustration, your production group will have culled a totally useless -- nay, detrimental -- member and will be much better off.
