Camera pans and 3D layers rendering choppy

I have a project that is 1280 x 720 and is all graphics - no footage. The moves that render choppy are the ones that involve either 3D layers or animated cameras where the keyframes have been modified in the graph editor for a more extreme ease in/outs.
I tried rendering with fields (upper field) and that made it worse. I also rendered as an uncompressed animation for the best result. I thought it was my cpu unable to handle the large file, but when I took the same file and re-exported as a scaled down H264, the same choppy-ness was there.

"Choppy" doesn't help us much, it's completely subjective. Do you mean your playback engine can't keep up with your drive or your moves are rendered as steps and you're expecting them to be smoothly incorporated?
If you have keyframed extreme position changes, there must be enough frames between the keyframes to create and display the tweens. Otherwise all you're doing is using what AE interprets as hold keyframes.
Motion blur might help but I do not know what you're actually hoping to achieve.

I have the same problem. My AE-Render-Preview is nice and smooth whereas the final render is always "choppy". For example, my 35mm camera moves along the z-axis from -700 to -500 and the final playback of the video is choppy as hell.
Could anybody be so kind and tell me how (semi-)professionals handle this?
