Warp effect to a text?

	Warp effect to a text? by Franco Andrade on Jun 26, 2009 at 3:11:25 pm Hello everybody! I'm trying to configure the Warp effect on a text. I applied it on this text: http://www.francoandrade.com/stuff/warp1.jpg Ok, but the problem is when I try to rotate it in the Z axis, it gives me a distortion on the text, like this: http://www.francoandrade.com/stuff/warp2.jpg I would like it to be like this: http://www.francoandrade.com/stuff/warp3.jpg Does anyone know how to preserve the first distortion when I rotate it? 	Re: Warp effect to a text? by Dave LaRonde on Jun 26, 2009 at 3:37:23 pm 'm not in front of my AE machine at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that none of the effects among AE's Distort effects (Bulge, Wave Warp, Mesh Warp, etc.) are true 3D effects. 	Re: Warp effect to a text? by Dave LaRonde on Jun 26, 2009 at 3:58:29 pm If your goal is to warp the text in actual 3D so that it looks and behaves like a curved object, the only plugin that I know of that is capable of doing it is 3D Warps from Zaxwerks. Perhaps someone has different -- and FREE -- solution. Have you checked the text animation presets in AE? It's ok when I pre-compose it, but the problem is that I need to set the button "For comp layer", to rasterize the text, otherwise it would be pixelated. When I set "For comp layer" the text becomes again with the weird distortion. Any solution? Respond to this post   •   Return to posts index
