If you're referring to the problem of some of the Cycore (CC) effects not working on the new Core i7 processors, then it's worth noting that the After Effects CS4 (9.0.2) update comes with some updated versions of these Cycore effects that fix some known issues.

so does this mean all the problems were fixed and does it work properly on last years Mac Pro 2.8GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon. I saw this on after effects cs4 system software requirements (1,280x900 display with OpenGL 2.0–compatible graphics card) does this mac pro come with this card? and can i use a crt monitor with this version of AE and this computer? I heard some of the plugins dont work is this true?

doesn't matter what monitor you use.. crt or lcd... it's the computer that makes the software work.. not the monitor !!!!
I would be very suprised if you can't use any mac from the last five years to run cs4... they are not going to alienate people by making it only work on a mac that was built yesterday... are they
