Creating Ice cream Melting Effect??
by Pouyan Fard on Feb 3, 2009 at 4:23:52 pm

Hello,

I am trying to create an ice cream melting effect. I have a colorful ball of ice cream on top of a cone, I need to colors to run into each other a bit and also need some of the ice cream to run down the cone as it melts.

Any advice would be truly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Any reason why you cant just shoot a real ice cream cone melting and composite it in? That would be a heck of alot easier and produce superior results.

I agree with Mike: shoot the real thing. You'll save your sanity.

AE can't do what you want it to do, and it would be Hell On Earth to try it in a 3D application as well.

I agree - shoot it live and composite it in. Can you provide any more information about the shot? There are other options depending on what style and level of realism you're going for.
