I'm moving the x and y position of a layer based on tracking information copied onto the layer's keys. Works well, but I would like to add some motion blur based on that same information. Is there an easy way to do this without a fancy plugin? If not, I suppose I'll take any inexpensive suggestion out there. Many thanks.

By "built-in" you mean the little switch I just discovered on the timeline, right? Where in preferences will I find the shutter? Looked all over. Finally, I can't seem to find "CC Force Motion Blur" under the effects. I'm using 7.0 pro.

In preferences, I think the setting is called "shutter angle". You can crank that baby way up if you so desire. I'd just look it up in AE Help: there's a pretty good description there.
No force motion blur effect? Maybe it came out with AE8. OR maybe it's a separate installation on your AE installation disc.
