How much footage can AE safely handle
by sammy jay on Nov 17, 2008 at 5:51:14 am

I am working on a 2min showreel, made up half of stills and half video footage - with an audio track. My teacher has recommended splitting it up into segments because AE might not be able to render out that much in one hit..

It will benefit my showreel greatly if it can be one composition. Is it true that there might be dangers? It seemds to me a program like AE should be able to handle 2 mins of showreel??

Thanks

AE should be able to handle a longer composition than that. That said, pre-rendering any complex portions after you've finalized them wouldn't hurt either.
