Unable to export Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 in 16x9

Hi guys,
I feel pretty dumb asking this, but... how come every time I try to export an Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 Quicktime from AE, the rendered video comes out squished to a 4x3 from a 16x9, as it is set up in the Composition?
Here's what I do. I set up a render via Render Que. Specify Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 as encoding. I tried a few different options from the "Stretch" variables: locking aspect ratio to 3:2 and unlocking it; specifying the stretch variable to DV NTSC Widescreen and leaving it grayed out as default... same result. The render squishes the movie to a 4x3.
I thought that, maybe, it's just my Quicktime player that misrepresents the image... but that's not the case, either. I tested the rendered file in a new Comp in AE -- it really is squished. Also, I rendered a DV/NTSC-encoded movie of the same sequence for reference, specifying that it should be a 16x9 move, and that came out 16x9, as it should, and it played as such in Quicktime player.
So... would anyone happen to know, what is it that I'm missing?

Import your File made in AE into FCP. In the Browser, highlight the footage, find the Anamorphic column. Click on it, a check mark appears, and FCP knows your footage is 16x9.

Wow. It works! Pretty cool... Thanks, Dave!
Does this method mean that, to compress the video for DVD, for instance, I can only do it exclusively via FCP and Compressor (not that I have anything against that)?

Hi Dave,
I know you like Animation better than uncompressed 4:2:2, but I was wondering if you would agree with that if you are an editor working in uncompressed 4:2:2. In an NLE you would have to rerender anyways.

The preference may be based on old information.
I recall reading about problems with Apple 10-bit Uncompressed. It just didn't work quite as advertised: colors slightly off, weird artifacting, image smearing, etc. It was extremely rare, but it happened.
This may have been resolved in the past 6 months, but if it has, I'm unaware of it. So I'm a little gun shy regarding it.
If things are good now, and you're editing in a 10-bit uncompressed 4-2-2 timeline, it makes all the sense in the world to use it in AE.
So is my information old information? Do I need a dope slap to revise my thinking? I'd appreciate knowing.

I've worked exclusively in 10bit uncompressed for the past two years as both the video editor and the compositor (another one-man band!!) and i have never had any problems of the sort you describe, Dave.
Having said that, i am in pal land and so it may be the problem is related to ntsc in conjunction with 10bit.
