after effects error

after effects error

hi all

i had been using After effects CS3 for a month
It was running fine for a month but i was facing peoblem sometimes that it sometimes hanged and restarted the comp . like once in a week. But apart from that there was no other problem.But yesterday suddenly when i started after effects i got this error and it didnt start at all. I installed CS4 also and it is also giving the same error at start and not opening up

What is the reason behind it

I am using Xp 64bit
ATI RAdeon 3870 card 512mb
Quadcore2.4 or2.6GHZ(dont remember exactly)

What is causing the error?

maybe the good old preference trick.... cut the preference file from AE folder and paste it on your desktop. It will reset your preferences to default basically
