Unsmooth gradients in rendered quick time
by Thomas Peter on Nov 2, 2008 at 1:35:07 pm

I've put together a slideshow in AE but get unsmooth transitions from dark to bright and in soft shadows in quicktime movie.
I renedered using MPEG-4 compression 'best' and millions of colours.
Slideshow should go online for broadband users, so should be reasonably small but good good quality.

What I am doing wrong? Is it a question of colour space? I used sRGB.

Try working in 16bpc. Also add the Noise effect and/or Channel Blur to the Blue Channel.
