Any other software other than AE?

I hove to do some basic video rendering, for example recording a footage with an XL2 camera like a concert. That coverage will also show interviews with diffetent people. I have been trying to use AE CS3 for redering my coverages by adding titles for example names of people who have been interviewed. Now its such a basic thing to do buit since AE CS3 simply uses a lot of memory it make it impossible for me to do even the mose basic animations.

My systen config. is :

OS Windows VISTA Premium

1.67HZ Intel Duo Pro

2GB RAM

120 GB Hard Drive

Video card is 128MB

Can some one please recommed some other softwares (other than AE) to use for the same tasks i need to perform as mentioned above with a lot faster performance so i can quickly do my animations and rendering and move on. Softwares which dont use a lot of memory from my compute and works faster?
pleas help.......i need to do this by end of this week....

Sounds like you need a non-linear editing rather than a compositing application. Since you are familiar with AE, I would suggest Premiere Pro.

Ae is not meant to work in realtime...

I think he has a point....AE is jut not for realtime....like you can do record 1 min footages from you camera and than add a couple of plugins and presets to come up with an animation clip....put it is still a clip...i;m talkin about an entire coverage of 30 min...it runs very slow on AE and i dont want to do RAM view while i'm adding some graphic to it....its just very slow...

i did read the manual, tried eveything purge temp folders, modifying the resolution, nothing works...:-(

i'll try premeire pro.

Adobe premiere or sony vegas will be good for you. In AE you can make great sepecial effects. In adobe premiere or sony vegas you can make nice long movie.
