lighting a scene

Tried that when the scene is less than 100% the edges of the spotlight show, at 100% ambient the shadow goes.
I suppose I am just trying to emulate the sun. Is there a way to increase the diameter of the spotlight?Respond to this post • Return to posts index

That scene doesn't look lit. It looks like they faked the shadows by using additional layers for the shadow elements. Have you tried faking your shadows rather than casting them?Respond to this post • Return to posts index

Gary,
After thinking about this for a while, I was coming back to post the same answer as you....i guess you beat me to it :-)
And yes, you can increase the size of the spot by increasing cone size in the light settings dialog, and/or pull the light back in Z-space.
