jerky movement of rendered sequence
by Piya Sharma on Oct 7, 2008 at 2:45:44 pm

i am facing a small problem in after effects.
my rendered sequence is turning out to be jerky.

strangely the 3d sequences i have imported to after effects turn out to be jerky when i render them in ae.
the elements and effects rendered in ae are smooth.

i have checked the 3d sequences separately......they are absolutely smooth.
but when i get them to ae and composite in ae, rendered sequence turns jerky.

please give me a solution to this.

Double-check the frame rate of the sequence imported into AE in the Interpret Footage settings, File>Interpret>Main. AE's default setting for sequences is 30fps. If you make an animation for NTSC, the footage needs to be conformed to 29.97, which you do in the Interpret Footage settings.

Then, of course, the frame rate of your AE comp also has to match the frame rate of the footage.
