Brain fade Q: AE CS3 on Mac

My preview function no longer works when I drag the time indicator in the timeline. If I hold down the "alt" key and drag, it does. Any ideas? I'm sure I hit some obscure key combo that made it go away. I have the preview preferences set to follow interactions, etc.

Click on Live Update button in the Timeline. It's the button to the left of the Draft 3D button.
