Rendering Error Message
by Al Johnson on Sep 24, 2008 at 7:29:20 pm

I had a project that I was trying to render last night and for one segment of the project I kept getting the same error message. It was basically "There is not enough memory to create blur" or something really similar, I can get the exact error if that would help. Anyway, it was looking for 94000K and only had 74000K. The scene had a camera with DOF on, which was causing this problem. When I used an adjustment layer instead the error went away.

I'm just trying to figure out what caused this. Is DOF a bad choice for larger scenes? Was I doing it wrong? Is it a RAM thing? Shedding any light on this would help. Thanks.

Meaning what was the problem. I wasn't messing with any of the memory settings in the first place.
