Problem during Render... (huge problem)
by Jarek Tajne on Sep 24, 2008 at 1:49:41 pm

I have huge problem...
I was doing a new project. I added many layers with effects, text, music, etc. There are also some video clips and two of them are scaled and they are on this same frame in the same time. When RAM preview was running very slowly and i had many layers in project, i added project to render. So when I did a video file, i created new project and i added this file to this project. Then I was doing my project along. The same situation appeared after two days, so I want to render this second project one more time (with a video file from first project and new layes from it). But when i want to render this project now, it is not possible because after some time error is showing or simply render ends after 3 minutes (video film from firth project lasts for 3 minutes) ;/
When I have luck and rendering gets started, then end of render is in the moment when a video file from first project is ending. Next minutes of new project aren't rendering ;/
Of course i set the scrollbar of work area correctly ;/
When i was trying to do a video file by File->Export->Avi, rendering ends after 5360 frames (it's 3 minutes - a one video file, which is rendered from first project). When export reaches 5360 frames, there's an error: "The Currently installed soundcard driver does not support DirectSound Input. Recording audio is not possible.", but export is ending a bit later. In second project i use this same file formats of audio, video, etc. what i used in first project...

I work on this project a few days and a final video would be good...
I'm confused ;/

My specs:
Adobe After Effects CS3.
2gb RAM (and during rendering, I set 90% of RAM to render in aae options, and I set the 4gb of my disk for temprorary cache and memory)
C2D 3.2Ghz
GeForce 8800gt

And sorry for ma english...

Try rendering using the Make movie method...this adds your project to the render queue where you have more control of final output, including being able to disable audio. I never use the export function.

Are you using MP3 files ??? AE doesn't like MP3 files. Also, I am not sure why you are receiving the error that you are receiving, but I suggested the Render Queue as you could try rendering out without sound. There is possibly a preference that you can set, in fact I am almost sure there is, but my I am rendering at the moment and cannot check for you.

I'm decreasing the option: "maximum RAM cache size value" and it's OK !! Any errors and problems. I'm very very happy ;)

Greetings ;)
