Re: how can I change the default composition preset setting by anita sancha on Sep 23, 2008 at 6:12:41 pm
Thx..
The outputmodel has no typeinhere. Can you please be a bit more detailed for me... I'm a bit of a dumbo, but going in the right direction.
I have already created a custom preset setting and only need to use this one mostly in the future.. so yes please try again, I got as far as typeinhere but could not find that in the drop down menu.

[anita sancha]"How can I change the default composition settings so AE defaults to one that I want it to.
It always defaults to HDTV 1080 24. I never use this and I would like it to always default to one of the other presets? "
Sure, you can build your own Comp Preset. Here's how, from P. 110 of the AE8 Help PDF:
• To open the Composition Settings dialog box to change composition settings, select a composition in the Project panel or activate the Timeline or Composition panel for a composition, and then choose Composition > Composition Settings, or press Ctrl+K (Windows) or Command+K (Mac OS).
• To save a custom composition settings preset, set Width, Height, Pixel Aspect Ratio, and Frame Rate values in the Composition Settings dialog box, and then click the Save button.
AE Help can be.... well, helpful.
