Re: Audio File to drive animated Noise/Volume Meter by Brian Jones on Sep 9, 2008 at 10:04:31 pm
I know how to create the animation, thanks to the previously mentioned COW Tutorials.
What I'm looking for is suggestions on the audio file used to drive the animation. I have a couple songs(Remember When and Mount Wroclai) that have worked well but not great.
I'm just wondering if any one had a track that worked well for them in the past.
or
If anyone has found a track that works well with the plugin's recently made available on the COW

I thought any song would work well. how are you defining well? What is it that you're trying to achieve? FWIW, you can generate audio tones using the Effect>Audio>Tone.

I'm creating this animation to be used in a sports arena to pump up the crowd. I guess that information would have been useful in the original post, beginner mistake.
So the effect I'm looking for is a noise meter that rises while fluctuating until a peak after about :30sec.

Howzabout using an audio file of a sports crowd in euphoria? I'm sure these are readily available.
I think most music will be too inorganic for your purposes. So, if music is all you've got and as an option, I'd try to wiggle the audio aplitude. Don't forget that you can keyframe the audio amplitude.
It's just some tweaking that you need to do. give it a bit of time and you'll get there.
