Edge Stretch

I watch a tut on CC thay showed how to stretch the edge of a comp out to a large frame size - I can't remember how to do it now! Can any one point me in the right direction. Basically I have 16:9 footage that was shot against a grey background and now I need to size it to 2.35:1 but I don't want to lose the head room.
