AE CS3 Upgrade... Good for Tiger?
by Blake Porter (blakep) on Aug 14, 2008 at 7:50:17 pm

Hi, I'm looking at upgrading AE 7.0 to AE CS3.
I'm running a mac G5 on Tiger...

Any advice on CS3 issues?
Thanks

i can't say i have any seen real issues with cs3 on a g5 running osx 10.4. it's not the primary machine i use here but it seems to run fine on the one g5 we have. i actually had cs3 running on a g4 with osx10.3 for a few weeks when a cpu went down, and it actually worked surprisingly well....

i can say that there seems to be fewer memory leaks with cs3 than with ae7. so i see fewer memory related errors. cs3 with multiprocessing is a bigger memory hog than ae7. ae can grab as much as 2gb of ram per processor now.
