Keeping vector quality
by Nate Ledet on Aug 11, 2008 at 9:57:47 pm

I've got a logo I've created in Illustrator, and I want some zoom action in After Effects. At first, I will have a camera that's very close to the logo. The problem is, it rasterizes and when the camera is in tight on the logo, the sharpness of the logo disappears. Any assistance would be great! Thanks!!

That's called the Collapse Transformations/Continuously Rasterize switch. It's one of the coolest switches in AE if you ask me :) If you have some time you should play around with collapsing transformations on pre-comps.
