I could really use something like the great little plug-in "Retrodots", but it won't run on my new Intel Mac. Anyone have any similar solutions in other plug sets? (or better, a way to resurrect my old projects that used it?)

this is on the same lines as working with powerpc only versions of codecs that i mentioned in a post earlier...
but you can often get access to older powerpc native effects (and codecs) by running the powerpc version of after effects on you intel mac (yes, you actually have two versions of ae on your mac).
select the after effects application in the finder. choose file>get info. check the option for 'open using rosetta' (i gave it the wrong name in my last post).
now, if the powerpc effects are insalled in ae, the next time you start ae, they will be available in the effects panel.
